Saturday February 7
Quite heavy snowfalls during the night have turned the garden into Narnia. Opening the back door first thing this morning, to let Maisie (our cat) out fox, rabbit and bird prints could be seen criss crossing the garden and the birds were already queuing up at the bird tables for their breakfast.
Mid morning the sun came out and defrost started..dripping taps, gutters, trees..all the sparkly gone and rather slushy, grubby mess left.
In the afternoon with sun shining and snow rapidly disappearing we decided to go for a walk to Abermarlais just down the road.
Along the banks of the river running through Abermarlais there are drifts of snowdrops- today it was hard to see the snowdrops for the snow!
We see some strange animals on our walks..
