Just returned from visit to Aberglasney Gardens- the gardens were beautiful as always – drifts of snowdrops, heaps of hellebores and fragrances from daphne filling the air.
Mowed the front lawn very lightly. It had been too wet to mow it in the autumn and the grass/moss looked very clumpy so a quick run over with the mower set high and the lawn looks better- I hope it doesn’t die off if there is more frost!
Two Canada Geese seem to have established themselves on our island and didn’t fly away when I went to look at them. Two male mallards and one female flew off when I approached. No sign of frog spawn yet!
