Lovely here this morning but it turned cold and wet this afternoon. The Canada Geese have made a lovely nest under the willow tree on the island and Mum Goose is sitting on the nest with her neck down and being very protective. This afternoon a moorhen was sculling around the pond but every time I went near with the camera it disappeared. The bird book says that when they are frightened they submerge and just keep their beaks above water..as I don’t want to frighten it off I’m going to stay away!
Mum Goose sitting on her nest under the willow tree- rather camouflaged!
Finished mowing all the lawns on Friday – so pleased it all looks neat and tidy before Easter and our next visitors.
