Look who’s on the pond now..baby moorhens..( not sure of the collective noun for moorhens …chicks?) anyway they are really tiny and cute and very naughty as they run up the bank and don’t stay swimming on the pond with their parents!
Visiting the pond today just to see the new moorhens were the Canada Geese and their goslings- who have now grown quite enormous. They didn’t stay long but had a swim around ate some pond weed and walked off over the fields to the pond in the next field.
