Hope you all remembered to put forward the clocks today – (Spring forward, Fall Back)- we did as Jim wanted to get up early to watch the Grand Prix on TV. March has been another busy month with so much to do and enjoy and most of it in glorious sunny Spring sunshine. Of course with the warmth comes the start of the dreaded weeds! Gardening has taken up lots of hours…still picking up all the leaves from the autumn, sorting out the potting shed, and amazingly mowing the lawn for the first time in 2011- it sure won’t be the last time but it is the best time ! It’s wonderful to see the garden spring into life again and mowing the unkempt lawn and straightening the lawn edges just gives the whole garden a spring make over- very quickly!
We’ve also been out and about andlast week enjoyed a day out at the seaside. We went to Wiseman’s Bridge/Amroth in Pembrokeshire-90minutes drive from here. We parked the car in Wiseman’s Bridge and walked the Coastal Path over to Amroth and had coffee and cake in the cafe and then walked back to the car along the beach…thank goodness the tide was out!
When we left the seaside we drove to Narbeth- such a bustling, interesting town. We walked down the main street with all its various shope- all exciting and individual- and popped into an Antiques market- just to browse- well- I had to buy something! Next we went next door to Coastal Galleries- where they had prints of the paintings Rolf Harris has completed on the TV programme Rolf in Wales. www.coastalgalleries.co.uk
We returned home via St Clears hoping to visit the Art and Craft gallerty there but unfortunately we had left it too late and it was closed.
The sun kept shining all week and we enjoyed some lovely local walks.
We’ve also been visiting our grandson who has just had an operation on his ear and is now recovering and enjoying life to the full again.
