Had a lovely visit to Aberglasney at the weekend and helped to clean the Ninfarium and water all the new seedlings in the greenhouse. It was all very hot work- nearly turned the hose on myself whilst watering the plants.
As happens in Aberglasney during the spring and summer months there are constantly changing exhibitions. This fortnight there is a wonderful display of art/pottery/ textiles/ willow weaving.
Wendy Powell- Jones has a great display of her water colours and oil paintings. Visitors on Sunday were enjoying looking at her paintings and wanted to know all about the artist, the paintings and the whereabouts of the places and scenes. The paintings are a brilliant resource not only for the paintings but for showing visitors to the area what a fantastic area we live in.
When I returned home I had to cut all the grass and get the cottage ready for new visitors but before I started I enjoyed a walk around Pond Field. There are two moorhens, the Canada Goose sitting on her nest, one solitary Mallard and a Heron…not bad for a little pond!
