Great visit to the Botanic Gardens today to be at the opening of Emma Tuck’s DE CODE exhibition in the Gallery.
Emma has created ‘personal portraits of each plant through a series of relief prints, collages and artist’s books, which abstract and reinterpret the shapes of flower parts, leaves, stems, twigs and berries’ . ‘DE CODE has been inspired by research at the NBGW to DNA barcode the native flowering plants of Wales.’ (Emma’s literature)
The exhibition is on until February 29 2012 so everyone has a chance to visit this exciting and interesting exhibition. The work is for sale and cards are available in the shop.
