Dry at last but too wet to walk through fields so enjoyed a town walk instead…through the streets of Llandovery. There were signs that the place is gearing up for the Sheep Festival that is being held this weekend. There will be a whole variety of entertainment for all the family http://www.llandoverysheepfestival.co.uk/
There are some beautiful buildings all around Llandovery and one that I particularly love is the church built on an old Roman fort…Llanfair-ar-y-bryn.
After walking through the town and up the hill to the church we went to Llandovery Railway station which now has a wonderful cafe run by volunteers. Cake and coffee were delicious.
Who needs flower pots when you’ve an old pair of jeans, shoes and yogurt pots at hand!
This is Prospect House a magnificent building which houses Lloyds TSB bank .
View through a pretty street looking towards the castle and the statue.
Llandovery is a great town …just the right size…with one of everything you need…including a Sheep Festival!
