January 29 Raining Outside! January 29, 2013

Filed under: Uncategorized — lletty @ 6:16 pm

I decided last week that I would try to write a blog every day for this week but I have missed out yesterday already!
We have some hardy visitors staying in the cottage and outside it is absolutely pouring with rain and rather wet everywhere but they’ve braved the weather and went out to visit the Botanic Garden.
We have just returned from a lovely lunch out at The Royal Oak in Rhandirmwyn. The roads were getting very puddly on the way there and on the way back they puddles had met in the middle of the road to make huge puddles! The village has a great website with lots of walks and historical facts about the area:

Last week we had one wonderful sunny day when the snow was still on the hills and the ground a hard frost. We went for a long walk up through Llansadwrn and down the Roman road to Llanwrda …had a coffee and walked back up the Lampeter road and through the village back home. There were definite signs of Spring being not too far away …birds singing, catkins waving their tails and  buds growing fatter on the twigs.  But that was last week!

Some photos from the walk to cheer the mood!
