At last….proper sunshine! What a treat we are having lovely sunshine, blue skies, birds singing and no slugs!
After weeks of being too cold to grow the plants, grass and weeds in the garden have decided that summer has truly arrived and everywhere is blossoming at once. The grass has needed cutting twice this week already and I’m determined not to let it get too long or it takes ages to mow.
We had the Yew Tree trimmed by Lampeter tree surgeons and they did a brilliant job. The long branches that touched the house roof have now been cut down so the tiles are safe! It has let lots more light into the yard too.
We were very fortunate to be invited to a friend’s wedding last weekend. It was a glorious sunny day and the church was absolutely packed….so the singing was good! The bride was so happy and looked very beautiful. A wedding in June is just perfect !
Our cottage garden has some very pretty plants at the present.
Obviously the photo below is not from our garden….I wish! It’s a photo from Aberglasney Gardens showing the orange trees in the Cloister Garden. The Gardens are looking stunning with so many wonderful plants in flower. Looking forward to my next visit on Sunday!
