It’s HOT, HOT, HOT and I’m trying to get to grips with a new computer! The computer is fine but it’s me finding out how to use Windows 7. It might not seem very different but lots of programs look very different using this Windows! Even this blog page is looking strange and I’m worried that I might press something and delete the whole thing!
The weather is certainly taking its toll on the gardens. I’m spending over two hours every evening just watering the borders and the veg patch. Seems a shame not to do it when effort has been put into raising plants from seeds…gardening is supposed to be relaxing!
Best thing about this proper summer weather is that visitors to the cottage are really enjoying themselves visiting places especially the seaside. Tenby and Aberaeron are still the most popular seaside resorts. Recent lovely visitors took our advice and went to NT Llanerchaeron followed by a visit to the wonderful fish and chip shop at Aberaeron harbour …delicious!
Last week instead of a Wednesday Wander with friends we had a Sunday Special and we visited a garden in Ffarmers near Llanwrda owned by Martin Duffy and Angels Farquharson. They are RHS Chelsea flower show award winners.
Seeing such a range of beautiful sculptures in a wonderful garden was a special treat for a Sunday afternoon.
