Aren’t we fortunate to live in Carmarthenshire with so many wonderful places to visit just on our doorstep.

Over Easter our daughter and grandson came to stay and we enjoyed very second  of their company  and the glorious weather that accompanied their visit.

We all went to Aberglasney and enjoyed seeing the outstanding Spring flower displays  and also eating  the lovely lunch in the café

Later we went onto Llanstephan for a breezy stroll on the beach and a bit of rock climbing before a hike up to the castle.P1010260

Another day we went to Colby Gardens and through the woods to Amroth. We walked along the beach to Wiseman’s Bridge while the grandson paddled all the way! After walking back to Amroth on the Coastal Path we enjoyed a coffee in the café overlooking the beach.

The winter storms had uncovered the remains of ancient woodlands on Amroth beach  which were truly amazing to see. I wonder how they will preserve them.

What made these days so precious  was seeing it all through the eyes of a 5 year old!

‘The promise for  tomorrow

And the hopes of dreams come true,

A reminder of the childhood

That is still a part of you’
