The sun was actually shining as we arrived for our  annual visit to the Winter Fair at Picton Castle.  As usual we headed straight for the castle  before the crowds arrived so we were able to wander through the magnificent building unhindered by other guests! The decorations throughout the castle were amazing as usual. Every room , every Christmas tree, every display showed the hard work , effort and care that is taken to make visiting the castle such a wonderful experience- a true festival of the senses. The small string orchestra playing in the hall in front of the blazing log fire set the scene  for the whole house…it was all magic! P1040921-1

Added to the splendour of  visiting the castle there was the pleasure of walking around and  seeing the many stalls.   There was a  beautiful  display of cloisonné jewellery  made by Annette Gardener             http://www.kittiwake-enamels.co.uk    which I particularly loved!

All this to enjoy and it’s open tomorrow too!

Some more wonderful photographs from you Marianne. I have been to Picton Castle but not during the Christmas season. It looks very inviting.

I think we should all go to Picton together next year- that would be brilliant! Hope to see everyone at Aberglasney Winter Fair December 6 and 7- some more amazing stalls to enjoy and another beautiful winter garden to walk around. Getting very Christmassy now especially with the frost this morning.
Thank you Marie and Julian for posting a comment.
