October 7th New Sign and Visit to Llanerchaeron October 7, 2015

This is our amazing new sign that  has been given to us as a present by a wonderful artist and friend! We absolutely love it and send our best thanks to Tony.

Visits this last week have included a lovely drive through the most beautiful countryside to Llanerchaeron, which is a National Trust property  an hour away from home.

Llanerchaeron house was designed by John Nash in 1790 and is one of the most complete surviving examples of his work in Wales.

The rooms are full of interest and I especially love to wander round the kitchen  which has so many reminders  of the utensils, bottles, pots and pans that were in my grandparent’s house.

As well as the beautiful house and garden to explore there  are the animals to see and a great collection of farming implements and vehicles.

A walk around the lake and another walk through the garden  enjoying the scent of the roses and lavender brought our visit to  an end. Next was a short drive into Aberaeron for  a walk around the harbour to the  fish and chip shop for  tea! Deeelicious!
