What a wet Bank Holiday Monday!! We tried to make the best of it and set off to see an end of summer art exhibition at Waunifor. It was a lovely place set in the middle of the countryside…’ it is an historic creativity cultural and conference centre set in 5 acres of tranquil gardens near Llandysul’! We saw lots of great art by thirty artists including a collection of prints from Aberystwyth Printmakers and then had lentil soup in the Rendezvous Cafe on site. We were joined at our table by two holiday makers who started chatting …and two hours later after exchanging life stories we left! It’s amazing how chance meetings can be so rewarding.
Outside the exhibition hall in another house we visited a potter who was demonstrating throwing a pot to a group of folk , who were attending a workshop.
This exhibition is held annually so we will definitely be visiting again next year and keeping our eye open for further events held here during the year. Apparently they hold FOOD Fairs…and if the lentil soup we ate is anything to go by…the food will be very tasty!
